I have love-hate relationship with crafting mechanics, but here they feel essential and well done, probably because they are the crux of the gameplay. The weapon/tool variaty is good, and crafting in general is GREAT. It's a good way to save on making new models and design (=development time and money) but also making them visually different so they register as different in the player's mind and prompt the correct reaction. They feel very different from one another and have "levels" signified by differnt color of the same model. The collor pallete and asthetic is steller, and I often take time to look at this game and be amazed. So here's a post about what I like about the game, my main issues with the game, and how I think I can solve it. I like it and I want to love it, but this game is just so frustrating at times. It has elements of fps, strategy, surviaval and stealth mixed into the exprience. Void Basterds is a game about space salvaging, with comic-book like asthetic and a british flaire.
